Congratulations to our Senior Coach Mario Bandera (Supa) in attaining his AFL Level 2 Coaches Accreditation, the coaches who undertake this additional course are those individuals who have the aptitude and genuine interest in improving their coaching skills.
To obtain this , Mario had to demonstrate the ability to operate at a different level with many points of difference, including set plays, structures, organisation, philosophies, Team objectives, communication, various Drills at training and transparency with his playing group, a great Leadership program and overall, just coaching at a different level.
After our third consecutive win, the Mighty Panthers, are sitting in 4th position on the ladder with 4 games remaining. Congratulations to all the Coaching staff and the players for the season thus far. Although we are hoping to remain in the five to play finals, this would be an outstanding achievement, since we only won 3 games and survived relegation in 2014.
Supa, who won the 2012 Northern Region Coach of the Year and was a premiership coach at Epping FC the same year, has continued to nurture and blood the younger players which has seen a number playing Senior football this year and will be long term Senior players for the Club. The development program the boys undertook in 2014, has certainly had its major benefits with all boys involved, having played Senior football this year.
Well done Supa – let’s hope it continues with the remainder of the Year.
He should also be good to his lovely wife Mel, who works full time with the kids which is an under rated job
