The boys headed down to North Heidelberg for their first practice match of the season. After what can only be described as a sluggish start in the first quarter, the boys were able to find their groove and work their way back into the game after a six-goal deficit.
The increased intensity of the ball movement, tackling and attack on the footy were the contributing factors as to why they got themselves back into the game, which eventually brought our free-flowing skills and ball movement into the contest.
Throughout the second half, the boys continued to improve and we ended up with a 14-point win.
For a first effort, it was a pleasing result with a lot of positives to take out of the game as well as many things to work on that will help us improve leading up to the start of the season.
