Congratulations and welcome to Sam Horner and Josh Smith who have been appointed as the Eltham U19 Coaching Team for 2018.
Just a bit of background about Sam & Josh, they have been coaching together as a Team for the last 4 years starting with the U14’s and following the group right up to the U17’s.
There has been a special relationship between the guys and their players and a mutual respect which was very evident when I had the pleasure of attending their Valedictory Dinner.
When one of the young players was asked what the difference was between the two U17 sides he replied, “we’re not two sides we are one”.
Keeping the 2 sides together has been one of Sam and Josh’s main goals along with a Team First attitude and they are determined to continue this tradition in the U19’s.
Both guys are looking forward to taking the next step in their Coaching journey and looking forward to working with and learning from our Senior Coach Paul King and his brother Brian, our Director of Coaching Neil Connell and recent U19 Premiership now Reserves Coach Tommy Snell.
