The Junior Committee have spent much time and effort organizing the following presentation for our club- we feel this is an important issue relating to our families and children’s well being, both Junior and Senior.
We would like to make this special evening compulsory for all team helpers– coaches, assistants, parents, medics and Team managers, Anyone interested in hearing the presentation who may be working closely with our players this season……
What: Player Welfare presentation by Dave Burt from Sports Chaplain’s Australia

A few weeks ago I attended an information session run by the NFL, during which a case study about what happened at Yarrambat JFC last year after the passing of their club President.
This was presented by Rob Windsor, from Yarrambat JFC and David Burt from Sports Chaplaincy Australia (SCA) who shared their learning’s and their role in assisting all members of the club .
After the presentation we spoke about being able to get kids with all sorts of issues to talk with someone, and providing coaches, assistants, team managers and medics with information on how to spot some of the signs that a kid might be struggling and then having some strategies/tools to be able to talk with them and access support.
Dave Burt has a wealth of knowledge and experience dealing with welfare issues and is coming to the Panthers on March 23 to help us.
